Nebraska Heart Receives Echocardiography AccreditationJuly 22 2015
What’s the number one cause of death in the United States? Cardiovascular disease. Approximately every 40 seconds, an American dies due to a heart/blood vessel disorder. And the American Heart Association estimates the annual cost of this disease to be over $503 billion (2010).
What’s the solution? Early detection. Heart (and other life-threatening) diseases can be identified through the use of Echocardiography procedures. While these tests are helpful, many other factors contribute to successful early detection.
All are critical to top-quality patient testing.
This is why we are proud to announce that Nebraska Heart Institute and CHI Health affiliated non-invasive cardiovascular labs have been granted a three-year term of Echocardiography Accreditation in the areas of Adult Transthoracic by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC):
CHI Health Nebraska Heart
“We are proud to receive this accreditation and even more thankful to be part of the patients’ health care team, working with their primary care provider to provide the best in cardiovascular care,” says Chad Travers, Cardiologist with Nebraska Heart Institute and Medical Director for Non-Invasive Cardiac Services. “We continue to challenge ourselves to be the best, and this is a credit to our physicians and staff who have demonstrated a dedication to providing innovative and quality care to patients throughout the state.”
IAC accreditation is a “seal of approval.” It lets patients know that the facility has been carefully critiqued on all aspects of its Echocardiography operations.
